Scott Fruehling founded SPD Transfer Services in 1973 with a Vac-u-vator and one grain truck. Hard work and the willingness to respond to Railroad emergencies has allowed Scott to build a company that can handle any type of non-hazardous material in the transportation industry.

Unlike most Railroad contractors, SPD Transfer Service is dedicated to Intermodal, load adjustments/transfers, and derailments. This gives us the ability to offer nearly 5 decades of loading experience and training to each of our customers.
